Winter Gear Hopefully we will have snow on the ground soon.  When we do, our gear storage becomes quite an issue.  It would be very helpful if you could please label your student’s gear.  It also helps quite a lot to have large reusable shopping bags to store snow pants, hats, and gloves throughout the day.  Things to practice over winter break Shoe tying Putting on snow gear Writing-a packet is coming home! Week 14

Week 14 December 6-10 Academic Updates We will learn about Sneaky E in words such as snake, rake, ride, slide, etc. Students will read a variety of fictional pieces as we continue to study character, plot, setting, conflict, and resolution. In math we will work on adding and subtracting ten as a unit. Our positivity project theme this week is knowing that our words and actions affect others. Families, traditions, and the ideas of goods and services will be our social studies focus.  Ice Skating Field Trip On Wednesday, December 8, we will walk to the ice rink for the delightful Lincoln tradition of ice skating.  Parents are welcome to join us at the rink–we can always use a hand getting all those laces tied! We will be skating from 12:45-1:25. Hot chocolate will be provided for our walk back.  Although the timing will be adjusted we will still have 2 snacks plus lunch at school.  Holiday Party Our holiday party will be on Friday, December 17, from 11:30-12:30.  Parents are invited!
