Week 14
Week 14
December 6-10
Academic Updates
We will learn about Sneaky E in words such as snake, rake, ride, slide, etc.
Students will read a variety of fictional pieces as we continue to study character, plot, setting, conflict, and resolution.
In math we will work on adding and subtracting ten as a unit.
Our positivity project theme this week is knowing that our words and actions affect others.
Families, traditions, and the ideas of goods and services will be our social studies focus.
Ice Skating Field Trip
On Wednesday, December 8, we will walk to the ice rink for the delightful Lincoln tradition of ice skating. Parents are welcome to join us at the rink–we can always use a hand getting all those laces tied! We will be skating from 12:45-1:25. Hot chocolate will be provided for our walk back. Although the timing will be adjusted we will still have 2 snacks plus lunch at school.
Holiday Party
Our holiday party will be on Friday, December 17, from 11:30-12:30. Parents are invited! We will have games and activities during the party. The class will enjoy a festive snack in the afternoon. I will send out a sign up this week.
